how to read new york times for free

These days, it's difficult to locate reliable news because it changes every hour. Even while The Chronicle and SFGate are terrific, The New York Times does a great job covering the coronavirus if you want a more broad perspective.

There are two ways to get over the paywall and get the New York Times for free online during the coronavirus timeframe.

Totally Free COVID-19 Coverage from the NY Times

To aid readers in understanding the epidemic, The New York Times is momentarily offering free access to the most crucial news and helpful information on the coronavirus outbreak. Visit the COVID-19 hub page at the NY Times. Both a paywall and registration are not necessary.

Free Access for 72 Hours to NY Times Online

With a code, you may view The New York Times online for free for up to 72 hours; you can renew this access as many times as you'd like. Yes, having to acquire a new code every three days is a little annoying, but that's the price you pay for free. Both the website and the mobile app are compatible with this. Learn more

Please be aware that occasionally the codes fail to function and the system is shut down for a few days without warning.

How to obtain a free 72-Hour NY Times Pass

On the SF Library page, select the New York Times Digital code redemption link.

To receive 72 hours of uninterrupted access, click Redeem.

Enter your personal email address during registration, or if you already have an account, click "log in here."

You'll then receive your log-in information for your free pass.

What occurs after a week? You must redeem a new ticket for an additional 72 hours of remote access once the initial 72 hours have gone (i.e. Repeat Step 2). This is the license arrangement that the New York Times has reached.

several themes There should be something for everyone, whether it is news on important subjects, sports, or opinions.

subscriber-only content Get early access to new media releases, as well as special features and newsletters.

What is omitted? You may access The New York Times for free and without making any commitments with your code. Even while the New York Times Digital membership grants access to numerous places, there may be some features and parts that are only available to individual customers. This, in our opinion, leaves out the Crossword and the Cooking portion.
